A good reason NOT to write

Osiyo~

I spent the day yesterday reading. Yep. Not a single word of creativity left these fingers all day, unless you count tomorrows blog post that I have sitting in a folder waiting to go up. Reason? Do I need one? I had a headache. So I read from my tbr stack. While I’m reading new author, Rachel Lynne’s suspenseful tale, Ring of Lies still, I needed something relaxing to ease the head. Rachel’s book does not relax me- but in a good way! I’m loving the mystery and whodunit of the blue diamond, her voice pulls me in, but I wanted my mind to rest. So I picked up Surrender To An Irish Warrior by Michelle Willingham

This book has been waiting its turn since I won it in a blog contest in October for a reason folks. Oh boy! What a fabulous book!!! But did it rest my head? Sort of. I think I’d have gone better with something less…intense. But once I started it, like all of Michelle’s books, I couldn’t put it down. I forgot my head was even up there. But I think I strained my eyes reading straight through the day! Lol

I maybe should have stuck to a shorter book, less intense, more humorous. Something like my wonderful critique partner, and tomorrow’s guest writes. Come visit tomorrow and meet Ellora’s Cave author, Chloe Cole, who has a new release out tomorrow. I was fortunate enough to get her to stop by before she flies off to sunny Florida, and tell us a little about her erotic tale of what she thinks a Godmother should be.

So come on by on the 12th and hear about Naughty Godmother. While you’re here, leave a comment for a chance to win a copy of her other book, Unwrapping Lily! What does a wife do when the sizzle has gone out of her marriage? Find another man, of course…No? Well, win this book and find out what sexy Lily does about the flame turned spark!

Stop by to welcome and congratulate Chloe Cole why don’cha.

Lisa, your Day of Reading sounds fab! I love Michelle W's books. Very smooth reading, although I agree that they aren't necessarily 'relaxing', either! Hope you get some writing done today!

So jealous of you having a day where you're forced to relax and READ. It's good to take a break and get lost in someone else's words for a change. Be back tomorrow to check out Chloe.

Gale, Kristina, Jennifer and JC- I agree. It's always best to refill the creative well and no no writing today. I was dealing with frozen water lines and horse blankets. Oh, and finishing the book. Tonight I'm back to my friend Rachel Lynne's suspense though! Heck, I haven't taken much non-writing time since August. I deserve it! The day after I sent in the medical full, I began the new one and started on my wolves again too. Then there's the matter of a new grandbaby... Yep. Break time.

I look forward to 'seeing' all of you tomorrow when Chloe is here. Tweet this, tell your friends! Let's do what supportive authors do best (besides write) and let's get her name out there! Thank you.

Yay to reading! Headaches must have been in spades yesterday, mine was brutal.

Congratulations Chloe! I'm already loving the book from your "glimpse," and using the word "fiddlesticks" sent me on a melancholy journey back to my childhood. That was my grandmother's favorite word, followed by "horse feathers" (small children should not be subjected to such visuals - still looking for "feathers" on horses.) Thanks for sharing with us, and thanks to Calisa for inviting us to "chat."
